Emily D’Angelo
Emily D’Angelo is the Associate Artistic Director of the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation & Company. She first performed at the company in August 2010 and, after a year as an apprentice, became a full Company member in January 2012. Emily has performed with the Company in New York City and on tour in Tennessee, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Chicago, Greece, and China. With a wonderful propensity for teaching all ages, Emily currently teaches Duncan technique classes for children and adults as part of the Foundation’s class offerings in New York City. Emily has taught residencies and workshops at Randolph College, Franklin & Marshall College, and The Peabody Preparatory of The Johns Hopkins University as well as in Beijing and Athens. Emily grew up in Montclair, New Jersey where she started dancing in the public school’s performing arts program and graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in Dance at Barnard College.
